The health was the first ambit of our service. Since then, depending on the needs of times and places, we have been present in hospitals, nursing homes, nutritional centers for children and health posts. Believing that Christ is present in each patient, we contemplate his face in each of them and try to serve them with kindness, solicitude, patience and understanding. We promote the respect and defense of human life and, since our faith in the Gospel, we accompany those who are preparing themselves to meet the Father so that, together with their families, they may live this moment, with peace and hope (cf. Dir. 45, 46 and 47).
