CIVCSVA, MLA Approval Decree; Const. 63; Dir. 52)
The institution of this Movement, that received the approval of the Church in 2002, gives continuity to the apostolic zeal which motivates Father Luis Amigó to engage himself in the formation and spiritual assistance of the Secular Franciscan Third Order, once he recognized its contribution to transform society with the evangelical values witnessed through their own life (cf. CW 1016 and 1024). The sisters accompany the path of the Amigonian Lay, attending to their Christian and charismatic formation and sustaining them in living and transmitting the values received from Father Luis in their families, in their work places and in civil society where religious sisters cannot always arrive and be present. It is structured in three sections: Laity Adults, Amigonian Youth (JUVAM) and Zagales (cf. Dir. MLA 15).
The JUVAM is an association of young people who like to grow integrally as persons according to the Amigonian faith and charism; it proposes an itinerary of personal growth in following Christ since the essential elements of the Amigonian charism. They are accompanied by educators who try to be for them witnesses of the Gospel and credible transmitters of its values..
The Zagales are children and adolescents who want to live the experience of friendship and of faith according to the Amigonian charism. Its name refers to the Amigonian nuance of the Good Shepherd of whom they feel "little shepherds". Accompanied by their educators, they meet to reflect and dialogue about life, to encounter with God in listening to his Word and carry out simple commitments of solidarity with those most needy.
